South Carolina Beard Club's 4th Annual BAM Competition
Rockin Hard Saloon
This event has already passed by. Sorry.
Event Description
In early 2013,
it was the vision of our club founder, Wayne Mincey, to promote facial hair
acceptance with the general public and also felt it was important to perform
volunteer and charity work within the area. So..
The South
Carolina Beard Club is once again planning its Annual Beard &
Mustache Competition to be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Rockin’
Hard Saloon. Last year, our Beard Competition raised $2500 for the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. This
exciting event brings together the Brotherhood of the bearded community both
far and near.
This year, we are
excited to announce that we have again partnered with Combat Veterans Motorcycle
Association, here in the Myrtle Beach area, to be the recipient of our fund
raising for 2017, to benefit our wounded warriors.
CVMA
is an Association of Combat Veterans from all branches of the United States
Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. Their mission is to support those
who have, and are currently, defending our country, freedoms, and way of life.
Their focus is to help veteran care facilities in our area provide a warm meal,
clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say "Thank You." and
"Welcome Home."
CVMA’s
membership is comprised of Full Members (those with verified combat service),
Supporter Members (those who have non-combat military service, and have a
sincere dedication to helping veterans), and Auxiliary Members (spouses of Full
and Support Members). They have members from nearly all 50 states and some living
abroad. Many members continue to serve in our Armed Forces, with several
serving in combat areas now.
CVMA
members organize, sponsor, and/or participate in many motorcycle-related
charity events each year, and as a non-profit organization, donate all proceeds
to various local veteran care facilities and veteran charities.
